Q: What is it that you do exactly?
A: We offer personal and semi-private training as well as conditioning classes. You can view the details here or call us at 416.777.BANG (2264). We’ll be happy to tell you about them.
Q: Do you need to be an athlete to work out there?
A: Not at all. Our approach is focused on performance but only because that’s what works. Our job is to make it work for you, regardless of your current fitness level.
Q: What’s your schedule?
A: Personal and semi-private training is by appointment. We have regular conditioning classes that can be viewed here.
Q: Where are you located?
A: 2nd floor, 610 Queen Street West. We’re on the northwest corner of Queen and Bathurst, just above Urban Barn.
Q: Can I just drop in to have a look?
A: By all means.
Q: Aren’t you that kickboxing place?
A: You’re thinking of TKMT. They’re located one floor up
Q: So do you offer kickboxing?
A: Of all the many wonderful things we do offer, cardio kickboxing is not one of them. However, we can put you together for 1-on-1 training with a number of excellent instructors, from competitive kickboxers and professional fighters to former heavyweight boxing champion of the world, Tony Morrison. Not too shabby, eh?
Q: How does the martial arts thing work?
A: In addition to offering personal instruction, we share space with MECCA MMA. MECCA offers Brazilian jiu jitsu, judo, boxing, MMA, capoeira and wrestling classes. We have developed specialty programs for many members and love to see people maximizing performance in their own disciplines.
Q: Does that mean that gym membership is included in the martial arts program or vice-versa?
A: Bang Fitness and MECCA MMA are separate businesses. However, we offer discounts to all members of MECCA MMA.
Q: Is Bang a boutique gym?
A: The term “boutique” conjures up images of extravagant interiors and designer workout outfits. It suggests the kind of intensity level that can be maintained while reading a magazine or watching television.
It reminds us of what we’re up against.
Bang is to boutique gyms as hardware stores are to Holt Renfrew. We’re here to help you build things from the ground up; not add a few cosmetic touches. We work with you to push past whatever limits you came in with and develop a deep-rooted foundation in strength and movement.
We may be crazy, but we think that posture, strength and confidence can take you farther than any $1,000 handbag.
Q: Where are all the machines?
A: We have found that the best results come from free weights coupled with plenty of room to move. We can (and will) show you why.
Q: There doesn’t seem to be a place to watch television while I’m working out.
A: Tell you what: Come in and train on our terms for 15 minutes. You’ll be able to catch up on your shows with the 45 minutes you have saved by not half-assing your way through a workout.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: 24 hours notice of any cancellation or change is required (by telephone, SMS or e-mail) to avoid being billed for a scheduled personal training session.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: We do offer refunds for those who fail to see significant results from their trial month. We can tell you more about this when you come in.

Q: Are you awesome?
