New Olympic lifting class at Bang Fitness
We’re pleased to announce that Olympic lifting is back on the curriculum.
If you’re not familiar with the Olympic lifts, here’s an article from deep in the crates from our own Ron Dykstra.
As a quick and dirty summary, the O-lifts are the most technical movements you’re likely to see in any gym — at least when they’re done right. They require raw power and a sequence of tension and relaxation that is evident in high-level performance within almost any realm of athletics.
Taught well, the O-lifts are a lifelong challenge — the kind of worthy adversary that any crime-fighter or superhero would dream of. Fortunately for us, we’ve got Ron Dykstra, an experienced and enthusiastic coach at the helm.
The class will be held Wednesdays at 6:00 pm.
